ARCH1101 STUDIO SESSION ONE
Step 2C... An original photo of something beautiful
This photo was taken just out the front of my gate in central NSW. The property name is "Shiel", the nearest village is Woodstock which is bout 7km away. I took the shot in early dusk with my mobile phone. The clouds, with shades of grey and red, hover over the horizon and compliment the distinctive outline of the tree in the foreground. This picture, though taken mid drought, displays rich greens that is divided in two by a sealed road.

Step 2B... An image that inspired me to become an architect.
A cool breeze drifts into a spacious urban apartment. Light flows in from the open windows which bring the soft texture of the furniture to life. Cylindrical lampshades loom overhead and are reflected by the gloss of the kitchen table. A red timber balcony contrasts with the creams and greys of the interior as the floating shelf supports a rather large television.
The detail found in the above picture, as well as the freshness and calm atmosphere, is the main reason i chose to study architectural computing. Hopefully I can one day produce images of this quality and it is this image, and many others like it, which inspire me to become an architect.

Step 2A... High school Creative Peice
The above image is the result of an English assessment task late last year, the topic was Power Play. I used large amounts of symbolism to convey types of power seen today. These forms of power have been portrayed, for example the rose and nude woman hints ideas of sexual power. Also the empty shells act as a symbol of war and military might. Other kinds of power found in the work are political, people and media driven.
